Nicknames (any and all): I would like to be called Camille at the moment.
Wanted Location: Paris, or somewhere lovely in England
What makes you, you? The way I think about life, and love. How I like reading books dressed as a gypsy girl or a Legionnaire in the park. My pink glasses and bright red lipstick and fake plastic pearls. How I long to live in a rustic French city with cobblestone streets and cafes with skinny ladies sitting outside smoking cigarrettes. How I make things out of lace and silk and ink and feathers. That I spot men in fedoras and old suits or lanky boys in black blazers and berets and make up stories about them. That I'm the grandaughter of Jewish runaways and socialist vagabonds.
Top Five Bands: At the very moment, I suppose my top 5 bands would be The Decemberists, Regina Spektor, Devotchka, The Dresden Dolls and The Ditty Bops
Top Five Films: Le Corbeau, Rebecca, Arsenic and Old Lace, North by Northwest, Sunset Boulevard
Top Five Books: The Once and Future King, The Chronicles of Narnia, The Bell Jar, The Canterbury Tales, and assorted books and stories by Francesca Lia Block, Leo Tolstoy, Edgar Allen Poe, and Lewis Carroll, among many others.
What’s your theme song in life? On the Bus Mall by the Decemberists, or perhaps What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.
What song touches you in a different way than any other? Why? Samson by Regina Spektor, becuase it makes me cry each time I hear it. And nearly all of Picaresque, because it reminds me of all these stories I want to live and hear and visit when I know I cannot, at least not now.
If there was a movie about your life, who (living or dead) would play you? Your best friend? Your significant other? I think I would like to be played by Marlene Dietrich or perhaps Audrey Tautou. And I think I would like my best friends to be played by Clara Bow, Louis Brooks, Peter Lorre, Joan Fontaine, and Ingrid Bergman, among others. And I would absolutely love my significant other to be played by Cary Grant.
What do you think about…
Tattoos and piercing? I only have a few ear piercings, but tattoos and piercings don't really bother me. I don't like full sleeve tattoos or tongue piercings, but other than that I don't really notice.
Same sex marriage? I'm quite for it; Love is love.
Vintage clothing? I have a lot of vintage clothing. I hate the concept of pretentious specialty vintage shops, but I love a lot of the things they carry. I tend to get most of my vintage clothes at antique shops because things tend to be a bit cheaper than at special vintage stores.
The Ramones? They're decent, btu not one of my favorite groups.
The Fall of Communism? Communism really just turns into somewhat crazy dictatoriships. I consider myself more of a socialist, or even an anarchist (in an Emma Goldman way, not in a Hot Topic kid with an anarchy tee shirt way), than a communist. I suppose that the fall of communism was a good thing, though I wish we could live in a generally equal society.
Titanic? I never saw the film, and I don't know much about the history of the boat, either.
Abortion? I am pro-choice.
Zach Braff? I like him a lot. I love Scrubs, and Garden State was decent. I mostly watched it because of Zach Braff's awesomeosity.
Llamas? They're so... fuzzy.
President Bush? He's not my favorite. In fact, I can't stand him. But I suppose there isn't much to be done.
What do you think a Youth and Beauty Brigade actually is? Well, according to the song, I think it's somewhat of a parade of outcasts, eccentrisities and those who don't seem to fit into our society quite well.
And last but not least…
Show yourself, villain! Seriously, give us a picture or two, just
crazy, nice, glamorous, whatever. Just a picture. Actually if you don't
have one, that's okay too.
